Most problems in Wellingborough have a person attached. The trick is knowing which council or service owns the problem, and then not letting go. Here is who does what, where to report it yourself, and where I come in.
Who does what
Potholes, roads and pavements North Northants Council
Highways are run by North Northamptonshire Council. Report it online with a photo and the nearest house number, then send me the reference and I will chase it.
Report a pothole or highway problem →Streetlights North Northants Council
Dark lamp, flickering column or a light on all day. Note the number on the column if you can see it.
Roads and paths, North Northants →Bins and missed collections North Northants Council
Collection days, missed bins, bulky waste and recycling all sit with North Northants.
Bins and recycling →Fly tipping, litter and dog fouling North Northants Council
Report it with a location and photo. Fly tipping on private land is the landowner’s problem, but I can still help you find them.
Report an environmental issue →Planning and new housing North Northants Council
Stanton Cross, local plans, extensions next door. You can comment on any application. Ask me how to make a comment count.
Planning applications →Anti social behaviour and crime Police
Emergencies are always 999. For everything else use 101 or report online. Tell me too, because patterns matter and I raise them with the police and the Commissioner.
Northamptonshire Police →Swanspool Gardens, the market, events and grants Town Council
Swanspool Gardens and Pavilion, the tennis courts, the market, the Carnival, Party in the Park and community grants are run by Wellingborough Town Council, where I sit and vote.
Wellingborough Town Council →Not sure? Ask me
Housing, schools, GP access, benefits, a service that is not listening. If I do not know who owns it, I will find out. Pointing you the right way is half the job.
Send me a message →My promise to Victoria Ward
A reply within 48 hours, every time. A straight answer on who can fix it and how long it should take. I follow it up until you get a proper answer, not a holding one. And I come to you, doorstep, kitchen table or community centre.
The Victoria Ward WhatsApp group
One place for ward updates, quick questions, meeting dates and a direct line to me. It is for local news, reporting issues and sharing what is on. It is not for party politics, arguments or selling anything. Just neighbours helping neighbours. Your number stays private to the group.
